Company Address

Our London Registered Office Service lets business owners use our Covent Garden address as their company’s registered office. You do not need to have formed your company with HopeTex to use this service.

It is available to all companies and limited liability partnerships (LLPs) incorporated in England and Wales, whether they were set up through an accountant, another company HopeTex gent, or directly with Companies House.

A registered office is the official address of a limited company (or LLP) and serves as the location where Companies House, HMRC, and other government bodies send official correspondence.

Despite this, no company representatives need to be based at the address, nor does any trading activity need to occur there. The key requirements are:

  • The address must be located in the same UK jurisdiction where the company is incorporated.
  • It must be a full, verifiable postal address that meets the ‘appropriate address’ conditions set out in the Companies Act 2006.
  • The company must have permission to use the address as its registered office.

Once a company is incorporated, the address, along with other company details, is immediately added to the Companies House register. This makes the address publicly accessible, allowing anyone to find it with just a few clicks.

While residential addresses can be used as a registered office, it is generally not recommended due to privacy concerns. Placing your residential address on the public register can impact your privacy and expose you to unwanted attention.

There are several reasons to consider using our London address as your company’s registered office, including enhanced privacy, a more professional image, and increased practicality.

As noted, the registered office address is published on the Companies House public register. By using our address instead of your own, you protect your home address from being publicly visible.

If your company has not yet been formed, you can further shield your home address by combining our Registered Office Address Service with our Director Service Address and Business Address Service. These three address services are included in our Prestige and All Inclusive company HopeTex packages.

If your company is already formed and has a residential address as the registered office, you cannot completely remove it from the public register (although changes are anticipated soon). However, you can still make it less accessible by using our registered office address service.

Covent Garden is an ideal location for your company’s headquarters. By using our address, you present a professional image to potential customers, suppliers, and business partners.

A residential address often differs significantly from a corporate address. While working from home may suit certain industries, such as crafting or small-scale production, it can appear unprofessional in many other sectors. A prestigious business address like ours helps project a more credible and established image.

To incorporate a UK limited company, you need a UK-based registered office address. If you’re living outside the UK, our Non-Residents package can help you get started.

This package includes everything a non-UK resident needs to set up a limited company, including our registered office service.

If your company hasn’t been formed yet, consider exploring our company HopeTex packages, many of which include the registered office service. This allows you to set up your company and secure your registered office address simultaneously.

For companies that are already established, you can purchase the registered office service by following these steps:

  1. Visit our Registered Office Address Service page.
  2. Click the green ‘Buy Now’ button at the top of the page.
  3. Select a start date for your registered office service.
  4. Choose ‘London Registered Office (paid annually)’ from the address services available.
  5. Enter your details.
  6. Complete the checkout process and make your payment.

You’ll receive a welcome email and an invoice within two working hours. Any official government mail received at your new registered office will be scanned and emailed to you within 24 hours of receipt.

You must inform Companies House of your new address within 14 days of the start date using Companies House form AD01.

Please note that we do not notify Companies House on your behalf unless you register an account with us and import your company into our Online Company Manager system.
